I was so excited at the opportunity to add Penny to our herd! I'd put the word out that I was interested in another doe in milk (as my children were drinking it as fast as my first goat, Kleopatra, could make it) and as luck would have it, Penny was looking for a new home! She is from a litter of quintuplets and comes from an impressive pedigree: Her paternal granddam was a 2014 Top Ten in butterfat, and her dam is a 3* who was Junior Champion (Best Junior Doe in Show) in 2017 (Goats in Gatorland). Penny loves cuddles and attention and is possibly the politest goat I've ever met. She came already bred, kidded without assistance, and is shaping up to be a wonderful mother. She was on milk test for four months in 2020, producing over 4 lbs/day as a first freshener!
Penny will be going on milk test in 2022 to earn her 4* designation!
